Another Generator Question
I see there's a lot of generator questions here. My question pertains to what to buy to use as an emergency generator. Moved to the Lowcountry of South Carolina and don't plan on sticking around in a hurricane. We wouldn't be using this generator for anything other than this.We don't boondocks or dry camp at all.We have a 2016 International Serenity 27FB with 50 amp,two A/c's.Would be nice to find something to run one A/C if possible, not sure. Our safety is way more important than staying cool.Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and safe travels
Well, the Champion Dual Fuel Inverter Generator would be ideal for what you describe. If you only run it on propane, you never have to worry about fuel going bad as you would with a gasoline only generator. Run it, stow it, don't worry about it -- a good thing.
Rated at 3400 watts, it will certainly run one of your air conditioners.

And they are really easy to adapt to running off the Airstream tanks and regulator by adding a quick connect to the generator and the Airstream. Look at the thread titled “Which Generator” and look for what I did to do that. My Champion 3400 dual fuel inverter can be kept in the TV bed while running off propane if need be.
