A 50 & 100 watt solar panel wired in parallel ok

The 100 watt panel 12v - renogy eclipse vmp - 17.7v & 5.7 amps
The 50 watt panel 12v - renogy vmp - 18.3v & 2.9 amps
I'll be using an mppt controller, Before I purchase these items, I want to make sure this set up will work. IN parallel this will add the amps to 8.6 amps and run with the lower voltage of 17.7?

For series connection – the same current rating of the panels is more important.

For parallel connection – the same voltage rating of the panels is more important.

I think Burns calculations are correct and would configure the panels in parallel resulting in 8.6A at 17.7V totaling 152W. A parallel connection of these mixed panels only loses 1.2% of the potential wattage.
