On the weekend I installed the above system on our late 80's 34' Excella. A couple of questions. The panels gets connected to the 7 amp controller, which then gets connected to the pos. and neg. terminals on the battery. Will both batteries get charged with the controller only connected to 1 battery ? Do I need to have the battery switch in the trailer turned on to charge ? All we run is lights and sometimes the fridge controls if we are staying more than 1 night and we only get up every other weekend at best. Will this be enough ? It was reading charging when we left Sat. morning. Has any one out there used this Costco system ? It seemed a tad flimsy in spots. It was a price driven purchase. Thanks for any help.
To insure complete charging of both batteries (I assume here that you have 2 identical 12VDC batteries connected in parallel), connect the positive charge lead to the positive terminal of one of the batteries and the negative charge lead to the negative terminal of the other battery.
