2017 Flying Cloud Solar Wiring

Can some comment or point me to a posting addressing the following:

I have a 2017 23 FC FB and I have found the plug on the front of the trailer for solar panel attachment. I have also read about the ability to plug solar panels into the electrical power system in the owners manual (albeit one sentence). My question is: Is the "plug in" simply wiring from the front of the trailer to an internal point near the power distribution center in the trailer? Or does it go to the battery box? What is available the termination of the wiring (block, open wires, etc.) I am assuming there is no power management system pre-installed.

Thanks for the assist.

On my 2017 FC25, the Zamp port on the tongue was wired directly to the battery with no controller. This plug would work well for a portable solar panel with a built-in controller: https://www.renogy.com/renogy-200-wa...olar-suitcase/

On the roof was a Zamp 3-port roof cap (in white): https://www.zampsolar.com/3port-roof-cap . This is how you could connect panels on the roof through the 10 gauge factory prewire. I used these ports to install four SP100 100W solar panels on my roof. I documented the installation with pictures, descriptions, and performance results in the "Solar Show and Tell" thread: http://www.airforums.com/forums/f448...ll-181608.html . To use this 3-port roof cap, you need to buy and connect a controller, many people on Airforms use a Victron. I used a Victron SmartSolar 100/30 which works perfectly with up to 400W of solar panels. The yellow and green solar pre-wires are all connected and fused to the 3-port box and end near your positive and negative bus bar in a bundle of wires. These wires have a label that says "solar". Here are pictures of how to install the controller between the solar pre-wire and the bus bars: http://www.airforums.com/forums/atta...0&d=1539352234

WE are having solar panels installed on our house and barn for residential use. the panels are rated 310 watts each, approximately 5ft x 2.5ft. My question for anyone is ,with an appropriate controller, could these be used on our 25 fb FC?

I'm sure they would work if they would fit. Here's a link to a photo of my 2017 FC25FB roof with four 100W solar panels installed: http://www.airforums.com/forums/f448...ml#post2102019 The panels in the picture are about 21.3" x 41.5" so I don't think the larger panels would fit.
