2000 diesel pusher 35xc generator won't start from inside

We have a 2000 35XC that we recently purchased. The 7.5 Quiet Diesel will only start from the switch on the generator itself. It will not start from either of the inside switches. These switches will shut it down but they will not start it. If the schematics in the manual were clear enough to trace the wiring maybe I could find the common problem. But they're not! Any help out there?
