1959 Overlander Land Yacht

No fusebox from battery. Any ideas on finding old one, or would it be worth the time to upgrade?

Greetings and welcome to the forum-

I take it this is your first Airstream? You will find lots and great information and friends here on the forum. In helping with your question, I would first ask is your AS original? The connections you may be looking for would be located with the Univolt which if I am correct on your year would be located in the rear locker. I am sure someone else will chime in with someting a little more accurate. Again, welcome to the forum!

Upgrade. This is a safety item. If you need to get one, get one you can rely on for a long time. There are multiple ones out there, can be gotten from bestconverter.com and vintagetrailersupply.com, for instance.

Yes, this is my first. My family is very excited. There is no Univolt the previous owner had intention of upgrading so I have only a bunch of wires under the goucho. and some buss fuzes next to the water pump. The AC is intact other than that. The trailer is all very original with the exception of no working dc power. Thanks for the input.

Your coach came from the factory with no 12v charging system, it relied on the charge line from the tow vehicle to keep the forklift/tractor battery in a compartment behind the LP tanks charged. There really isn't much there to upgrade, you will be installing new stuff in your coach.
BTW, Univolts became standard equipment in 1964.
