Looking at this generator... you have the 15,000 btu,?

15000 btu a/c

it appears some Airstream owners want to tow big trailers with tiny tow vehicles and now they are trying to run AC with tiny Generators.

Using undersized generators will harm your AC units.

A good reference .
Appears to be a very simple to install.
Its also some good info vs the hard start that many of the naysayers are possibly referring to ?

Yes I do. 30' Classic.
I start the generator let it spool up and turn on the AC. It runs the 15,000 btu and whatever else we need to use. Been using it for 3 years now. It weighs 80 lbs. I thought when I get to the point where I cant lift 80 LBS into the back of the truck I have no business being on the road with a 30' trailer either.

Thanks for the link to the Easy Start install video - very helpful!
Wish I knew about this before dropping another $1000 on our second EU2000 generator. At $500+ it's not cheap, but half the gen$$.

Thanks for all the replys.

I installed the Easystart today and ran the 5 training starts on shore power and then started it on the generator. The main difference I can see is that without the Easystart the system goes into full power as soon as the AC fan comes on. With the Easystart it takes about 20 seconds from the moment the fan come on to full powder. And it goes it in 3 stages: 3 amp at first, 5-6 amp next and then 13 amp. I suppose that is what the Easystart suppose to do. The slow start also allows the generator to run in ECO mode. Anyway, the next test will be when the temp gets into the 90's.

I wonder. Does the 2018 model Dometic AC already has the Easystart, or similar, from the factory? Maybe it just works at sea level and will not work at altitude?

My generator is a few years old, but it had been used only lightly.
My 25FB Dometic AC failed to start with a Honda 2000i generator; but was successful with the Honda 2000i and 2000i companion in parallel operations. My Easy Start install took me just over 3 hrs and starts now with the Honda 2000i. 😊😊😊

Easy Start was definitely worth the effort and money. It should also prolong the life of the AC.

Dave, if youre referring to the Easy Start, the price direct from Micro-air is $299.
EasyStart

BTW, Honda just upped the 2000i to a 2200i, which I would expect to handle the load just fine.

Thank you, that was a great video. That was a coleman AC, i believe. Anyone have knowledge as to how the wiring differs on our Dometic AC and it is as easy as the video shows it? Also, I would like to install this on one of the two units I have in 27FB. Any opinions as to which of the two units would be preferable. Thanks for any replies.

That was agreat video. Thanks. Since that was a coleman, is there any video or instruction on our dometic units? Is wiring the same? Also, I want to put one of these in my 27FB, it has two ac's. Any opinions as to where it would best to place, LR or BR? Thanks for any replies.

I just had 1 installed. How long can I reasonable expect one to last camping 30-45 days a year in various conditions. Just trying to get a feel for the reliability of the Easy Start.
