1/4 or 3/8" hose for EU2000i on propane?

I recently installed a US Carb tri-fuel kit on my Honda EU2000i generator. Can I run the generator with a load (i.e. microwave) using a 1/4" hose that is 8' long, or do I need to get a 3/8" gas hose? I already have the 1/4" hose for a BBQ, and was hoping to also use it for the generator. I will be connecting it to the low pressure female fitting on the front of the trailer.

Thanks- Bob

My 3000 is set up to run low pressure propane on a 1/4 in line. That is there is a regulator at the tank reducing the tank pressure.

I have a 3/8 hose with quick disconnects to run it on natural gas household pressure. I have not used that hose yet and got it more for the match to the quick disconnect on the house. I would think your 1/4 hose would work for both fuels.

Thanks HowieE. Sounds like it should work fine with the 1/4" line.
