Thks protagonist, just ordered and took your advice on the color. I'll post how it works. Would just like to have the most commonly used lights changed.

I would have to say that when it comes to LEDs over food folks I talk too (and I talk to a bunch) seem to be happier with the slight blue of the 4500-6000 kTemp. Warm white bouncing off of a brown or almond back ground can do funny things.

I had a question about a particular bulb, so I emailed LED4RV. It took an entire four minutes for Dan to respond and answer my question. Bulbs ordered, happy customer.

They have been changed in recent years so it was probably just what the hood manufacturer provided. Our 2015 28' FC has LED bulbs in all locations including the stove hood.

My guess is that this one: Amazon.com : Rosco Roscolux Bastard Amber, 20x24" Color Effects Lighting Filter : Photographic Lighting Filters : Camera & Photo might be the one best suited for your trailer, but if not, there are many similar shades that you might try. It's a lot cheaper than replacing all of your LEDs!

Thks again protagonist. Works great. Color very close to hood halogens. Covered the single side of most used. Left others alone for now.

I took everyones advice and called Dan. What an excellent person to deal with. He was unsure which outside light I had, so he sent me both replacement models to insure I could get the job done in one fell swoop. Gonna mail him back the one I didn't use. As we both are here in NC, I got the bulbs the very next day. Dan is a real pleasure to work with. Top notch customer service.
Did I mention how much better it looks inside? We have the Ocean Breeze, so it's pretty bright in the cabin to begin with. The bright white really enhances that interior nicely. I was amazed at how I could not even hold my finger on the lens for more than ten seconds with the old lights. They generated ALOT of heat. Not anymore. Well worth the $ IMHO.

As long as they don't get too much heat, LEDs are the way to go in the range hood. Someone mentioned putting LEDs in the oven... have you run the oven since?

One thing to be aware of though, older technology and cheaper LEDs have a very limited spectrum. They are a blue LED with a yellow phosphor that downconverts some of the blue light to yellow, tricking the eye to see it as "white." Newer and better LEDs have a wider spectrum that renders colors pretty well. When I put LEDs in my SOB in 2008, I noticed it was difficult to cook meat correctly. There was so little red in the output that raw, cooked, and overcooked were difficult to discern. At the time, I added some discrete red LEDs to my fixtures, with an option to have red-only. THis gave me good color rendering on the stove, and the ability to have night vision preserving low red lighting when going in and out of the trailer, such as during meteor showers.

Modern phosphors in high end brands like Cree seem to mitigate this effect. Beware, there are a LOT of cheap LEDs out there claiming to be a name brand, which are not.

I replaced the light switch with a 2 way one and led lights for both bright and a night light.

We switched many of the fluorescent ceiling fixtures in our 2014 Classic to dual LEDs with a two way rocker switch to choose one or two strips energized and others just a single LED strip. We did leave the the original tube in the light over the front sofa for the soft warm glow.

We doubled over the kitchen sink, the bathroom and the master bedroom (find her hair clips on the floor easier without our glasses). The LEDs really reduced the heat in the glass lenses in the dinette chandler. And we replaced the light over the stove in the exhaust hood as well. Had a failure over the stove and Dan sent a replacement out immediately. Great service.

The conversion for the Classic was not inexpensive being over $500, but was worth it to us. They should still be working when I am turned ashes. At age 72, my warranty has run out, so my conversion date is still hopefully a long ways away.

The 2015 23D International Serenity came with all LED bulbs.

The LED use hardly shows up on the battery usage meter.

Great point.
You never see fluorescents at a buffet because the color temperature is so green that all food looks unappetizing!
