Just spent a couple hours figuring out the tow wiring and
12 volt. Tow wiring was a piece of cake with my battery and a circuit tester. However, I cannot figure out the
12 volt. In the access, I separated the very old and frayed incoming wires and came up with the attached four wire cable. It has red, white, black and green. The red and white were wrapped together on one battery cable and the black and green wrapped together on the other and all attached to the AS body. However, given some work by the PO, don't put much stock in that. Anyone know what this wire is? Gotta be the 12 v system, but I cannot get a circuit to complete. I can hook the negative to the body and touch each one of the wires and get nothing. Is there a breaker system for the 12 v hidden somewhere? I found and replaced the 110 volt ones with a new Progressive PD4000. 110 works great. I know in
1961 they were two distinct systems. This is driving me nuts!
