Teardrop Marker Light

Replacing outside marker lights to a teardrop style, I noticed that there are amber and red lenses. My question is, what is the proper to display the red and amber lenses or does it make any difference.......thanks

Observe any truck or trailer at night. Amber is for oncoming (front) only. Red is for receding (back).

Nice looking Airstream. Keep us posted as you go through the work to "make it yours."

The best DOT rule of thums is: Amber ahead of the trailer axles and Red behind the axles.

I'm also replacing my teardrop lenses. They are a Pathfinder 662. Vintage Trailer has them in both red and amber but you can get them in a number of places for about 4-5 bucks.
