Switch above refrigerator in 67' safari

Howdy,

67' Safari, one switch above refrigerator, another electrical box with a curious little fixture on the cover plate. I have no idea what either is for. It would be swell if it had something to do with the water pump because right now I have no continuity at the pump.

Cheers, Adair

Yep! Its for the water pump. You can get the replacement pumps inexpensively on EBAY.

Thanks M.R.

I have multiple back up pumps. I'm enamored with the little reciprocating guys. My pumps work fine, I just didn't have any juice. At least now I can track down the break in the line a bit more easily, or maybe it is as simple as a loose connection at the switch.

This place is great. I had an answer in five minutes.

Now what is the other deal next to the pump switch?

My '67 Airstream had four things around that general area:

120 vac outlet
Switch for water pump
12 vdc outlet (looks like a cigarette lighter)
Television antenna outlet (three, small, triangularly-spaced, 1/8-inch D holes on a plate)

Had one loose wire to the water pump switch. Now the pump is going fine.

Looked at the curious plate I was inquiring about. Pulled on the tab that projected out...and it slipped right out of its socket. The male side of this was in the wall socket; two prongs. The female side was in my hand and it had two copper sleeves. I really don't know what it is, but perhaps as TomW mentioned it was related to the TV since the shelf above the fridge seems to be popularly understood as a TV shelf.

Many thanks to you all. Tomorrow I will fill up my water tank for the first time and have pressure. Wintering in a trailer without running water has been exciting the last couple of weeks.
