Side marker and clearance lighting 1960 tradewind

Trying to decide what to do with the clearance lighting on my 1960 Tradewind. The clearance lights are not original but if I remove them I have to cover the drilled holes.... should I just replace them with new clearance lights? They work but you can clearly see water inside of them and they are badly corroded. Any ideas would be appreciated!

You can replace the clearance lights with the new style LED lights, that do not have a water problem.

The teardrop lights you have on the sides of the trailer, are original.

The lights above the front and rear windows, are add on's by someone. That shape light has never been used by Airstream.

As Andy mentioned, the lower side marker lights were the original style and shape used on your trailer and I think they look best with this vintage.

They used to have a steel base plate and would rust. The replacements are aluminum and although lightweight, they are flexible and bend to the contour of the trailer.

They can feel a bit too light weight and cheap in your hand but somehow they have survived as replacement on our trailer for the last 80/k miles. The little plastic lens attached by a tiny screw without a gasket protect the blub somehow. I had to replace four lens two years ago after a freak hail storm cracked them.

I started off with Nuvite products and still use them, but discovered the Jestco products while helping a friend with his trailer. The abrasive material in the solid bars along with the buffer wheel used at a higher speed works well on rough areas.

Then remove all the straight cut lines with a compounder and nuvite products. Finish with the dual cyclo and S grade polish.

Colin Hyde has been testing a different product (Colin's Secret Sauce!) and claims it is a time saver. But by the time he introduces it we will all be camping in Heavens Trailer Park I fear.
