Running lights

Really quick question - what pins do I jumper to get the running lights to light while plugged into power? Thanks.

Brad, If you really want to be "flashy", install a 2 prong HD flasher (with prongs at a 90 degree angle) into the trailer cord. This will use the battery's power and flash all the lights at the same time.

OK, I guess I need a little more help. What is the "top" and to which side is the one next to it?

The top pin is the one on top of the plug when it is connected in normal fashion to the tow vehicle. The squarish knob-ish thing on the plug should be at the top.

Here's about the best diagram around, shows everything you'll need to know...

http://www.countrytrailer.com/Manage...S/7wayplug.pdf

you can plug a 2-prong flasher unit between the + and Tail lights to get them to blink using the trailer's battery...if you plug it into the + and RH stop lights, they will blink...

I've made a control box that I plug the 7-way cord into that allows me to 'flash' the tail/marker lights, the stop light, and the back up lights...I can also switch it to 'full on' to turn either one of the circuits on fully, for any one of the three...cooool.....

You just don't want to do that in downtown LA, you'll get arrested for indecent exposure...

"flashing"... crawling back under my rock now...

Here's a first draft...I've got to add a diode in one of the green LED indicator lamps, to keep them both from coming on...

Hope you can read it...it's rather straight forward, I use the + battery pin to power the flasher, LED indicators, and all the trailer lights (all of mine are LED units, except the backup lamps, and they will be converted shortly)...

With the Master Switch (on the left), UP is FLASH, CENTER is OFF, and DOWN is constant ON...you then select which circuit; TAIL, STOP, or BACKUP you wish to power up...or all at the same time - looks really COOL with all the lights flashing in the night....

With this FLASHER BOX, one can flash the trailer lights if on the roadside, unhooked, while running in the TV for parts, etc...or I can irritate my Rally neighbors...or with a remote control wired into the BOX, I could find our AS in a crowded WalMart parking lot...

Mexray...that looks pretty sharp.
Is the Blue Halo rope lights permanently attached or do you have to install them everytime when you setup?
