Removing the 7-Conductor Wire

I would like to replace the 7-conductor cable that runs from the tv to my 68 Caravel.

I removed the access panel on the underside of the Caravel where the cable connects to the internal wiring but for some reason I cannot pull the cable out from either the A frame side or through the panel. Something seems to be holding it captive.

Am I missing something? Anyone have experience replacing the 7-conductor cable?

Any advice or assistance will be appreciated.

Can you post a picture or two. I would bet there is some kind of strain relief that needs to be back off before you can pul the cable out. This device keeps the cable in place so it won't come out when traveling.

That is odd. I just replaced mine mine in the 67 Safari last week and once the wires were disconnected the cable pulled right out. Getting the wires apart through that little hole was a pain in the butt. Maybe Caravels have a trick to them.
