Removing Tail Light on '73 Overlander. How??

Any idea how to get this these things out so I can re-wire them?

I drilled out the two rivets in each but they will not budge.

Thanks for any help,

I was a little afraid to use some persuasion even though I will not be using them anymore. I didn't want to break anything behind it.

I also seem to recall someone saying they come out from behind.

I'll go use a little more force and see what happens.

thanks for your input!
