Removing interior light panel covers... How?

I'd like to replace a few bulbs in the main light panels running on either side of my 310 MH.
There must be a simple way to remove the covers, but I've tried to push from the ends , pinch the sides/center, etc... I'm afraid if I use much force I'll crack or break them as they don't seem to want to just pop out.

Am I missing something? Is there a hidden pin or a keeper?

there is a thread posted awhile back on this...but it amounts to heating the lens by leaving the lights on for a time, then prying out carefully. You can wash with soapy water and reinstall. I used a butter knife lilke tool to pry. Once you do one, they get easier.
