The wife performed a taillight check this weekend as we were pulling out for a weekend trip and reported the right rear taillight flashes in the upper left hand corner when applying the brakes. The remaining part of the taillight remains lit. I unscrewed the lens and the tail light is comprised of a circuit board with an array of LEDs. The upper corner of the array flashes when the brakes are on. Later down the road I checked them but the LEDs are on constantly. I notice the left side seems to have more LEDs lit than the right side.
Is it time to replace the LED board on the right taillight? Where is the best place to purchase the part and what is the cost?
Hi, I don't know what lights your trailer has, but mine has four oval shaped red LED light assemblies. Mine started to fail, a few LEDs at a time. At about three years old, I replaced all of them with ones that I bought on E-bay and six years later, no problems.
