Rally Lights trick not working...

I've followed everyone's advice and tried to get my marker lights to come on when parked, but to no avail. We are new owners, but the lights all worked when we brought it home recently. I've tried a wire connecting the pins, and using a 10 amp fuse in the 7 pin slots. No avail. Any advice where the problem could be? To be honest, I am not sure where the marker lights would have a fuse inside the trailer, assuming there is one.

I would check the "ground" circuit(s). Check first at battery the. See if the frame ground is intact. You do own a decent VOM?

Peace and Blessings..

I had the same problem on our Argosy. Eventually I took apart the 7 pin plug on the trailer end and found that the PO had reversed 2 of the wires - don't remember which ones. I used my multimeter to confirm what wire went to what connector on the truck and re-wired the trailer's 7 pin to match and the clouds parted and all was right with the world.

Could be a problem in the plug.... The "ground"' is common to all and all are acting up... Could be the ground is loose in the plug.
Peace and Blessings..

Do the lights work when plugged into your TV? If so then it isn't your plug problem. To make the lights work, while unplugged, you need to "jump" the two pins on either side of the bump on the plug. Jumping the wrong two will blow a fuse.

IE pins at 11 oclock and 1 oclock [top of plug]. I use 10 amp new style fuse. But this is on 1976 AS I don't no how your trailer plug is wired.

unplug the electrical plug from your tow vehicle point it towards your face. Orient the keyway lug to twelve o-clock position Make a jumper wire about six inches long. Plug in one end into the connection at eleven o-clock position and the other end into the one o-clock position and bingo
