Patio Led light

Hi everybody

I try to figure how to remove the scare light. Here's a picture of water inside.

Thank you for your help.

The outer chrome ring snaps on and off. I took one off the shelf and took a picture. The ring comes with the light and no big deal if it breaks. The Airstream part number is 512532

Hi Dan, do you know if a warm white version of this light is also sold?

Sorry to sound stupid, how do you snap off the outer chrome ring? I suspect a water leak coming from the patio light, I attempted to pop if off. However, it does not want to release, and I don't want to break it.

Did you find out how to remove the ring? I've screwed so much with mine I'm afraid I've introduced a potential water leak

I guess no one has figured how to find the hidden tabs then how to get them to release without destroying ring. Mueller?

If you look at that fixture online, it appears the ring is an integral part of the light. A large threaded nut anchors it inside the wall.

I'ts possible to remove the ring but you have to be very careful. When i removed it, i can figure how because i was in possession of the new light and ring. To remove, you have to use a little hook and protect the skin

That's what I was going to try as a last resort when we get back home. Sure would be nice if the tabs were indicated on the face of the ring. Thx

You might try a paint can opener (like from Home Depot). Put a flat, thin putty scrapper between the skin and the opener to protect the skin. The openers have a very short lever to the fulcrum point, so they can exert a lot of force. Just work the pair around the ring until it pops off.

I need to investigate mine. Once you get the outer ring off are there visible screws to remove the light?

Yes there are 3 holes in the black base that hold the light to the Airstream.
If part of your LEDs are not working, and the light needs to be replace, a new light comes with the outer ring.
