Overhead lights not working...

When we bought our trailer, the front and centre overhead lights were not working properly and a few other options (step light, range fan) were not functioning. An electrical check found that the junction in the ceiling where the power feed connected with the wiring for the various lights, etc. had gotten wet many years ago and corroded to the point where the components were no longer getting adequate (or any) power.

An easy fix once the ceiling panel was dropped. A dozen or so drilled rivets and dropping of the lights gave very good access. Glad I went after the problem rather that "just living with it".

Kevin242,

i saw your post, i am having a similar problem. In my kitchen, overhead light is not working along with the lights over the sink, the exterior step and flood lights and one of the reading lights over the front couch ('78 Amabssador 29'), does the fix your referance address all these components? I do not have asimilar ceiling panel set up, i'm wondering how to access?

any/all help appreciated
