No Exterior Lights

I have a 1988 29' Excella.
I put it up about twelve months ago with all lights working. Today I brought it out of storage to sale and had no lights, running, brake or turning.
Having restored a 68 Globetrotter I understand about mice etc.
But when I check the plug from the truck using the plug's ground, all lights work.
When I apply 12v to the trailer plug using the trailer plug's ground, all lights work.
I have even hard wired a wire from the truck frame to the trailer frame and no luck.
Honestly, I don't really know where to start. Suggestions?

Looks like you know your trailer wiring harness and umbilical cord are good judging from your experiment of applying 12v to the trailer plug pins. If I recall correctly, pin #1 is the ground. So applying your test battery negative to pin #1 and touching the other pins lights up the various running lights. If so, then you have verified your trailer's wiring and bulbs are good.

We need to verify your tow vehicle is delivering 12v to trailer. Your auto parts store may have a trailer plug test light you can plug into your tow vehicle and it will indicate all functions are working. Somehow you got to confirm your tow vehicle trailer plug receptacle if functioning. Does your neighbor have a trailer you can plug into?

Not an expert on the subject, but check the condition of the plug from your AS. Slip off the outer shield. I found a shorted wire which caused issues. Make sure all contacts are clean and tight. GL

What David said.

Troubleshooting logic says that if all the trailer lights are affected, the problem is most likely in the tow vehicle.

Thank you so much, for ideas. The parts store and driving to another trailer makes sense, simple solutions that are clouded when frustrated. That's my headscratcher- if both work with 12v and/or test light then which one is the culprit? I will verify truck first.
I've tried taking the plug apart but it will be more of a hassle than driving to my brother's. But it's coming I'm sure.

I had problems with my truck plug getting corroded, starting fluid or electrical spray may help it on the tow vehicle. I bought some electric spray, sprayed it and let it dry, it did the trick.
