Lightbulb No Brake Lights On Trailer

Hello all, I just updated the 7 pole connector with a 7 blade, and installed the one on the TV. everything works except the brake lights on the trailer.
both turn signals work just no brake lights. OK I admit I'm a dumb a** when it comes to electrical, so any advise would be appreciated.
thanks
Dorian

sorry, I should mention the TV is 1994 Toyota 4Runner, and all the lights work properly.

Makes absolutely no sense to me,power to turn signals runs in the same wires as the brake lights,I doubt you have the separate fuses under the hood for trailer,as my Silverado does.I`ll just lay on the sidelines and maybe I can learn something. Dave

Does your tow vehicle have separate stop (brake) lights and turn signal lights? If yes, then you need an adapter on the TV side to conver the separate stop and turn signals into the single wire for each side in the trailer.

Chris is correct. From the photos I located online, it looks like this is the case. There are amber lenses at the rear. Common on "foreign" designs.

Then something like this should do the trick. They get wired into your TV.

Glad to report that the problem has been solved!
I picked up a "Taillight Converter" for $15.00 at "OReileys"
a local auto parts place, and it did the trick.
Now all the lights function as they should, now all I need is a brake control
and I'll be good to go.
Thanks for the advise.
