Need License Tag Holder Signal Stat 435

I need to replace the rusted license tag holder/light on my '99. I can't seem to find one on the internet. Do they still make these? Where can I purchase one? Of course an alternative would be to pull it off, sand the metal bracket and repaint it. Thanks.

I still haven't been able to find one, does anyone know if they still make Signal Stat and if not, is there another brand that is an "exact" replacement where I won't have to drill new holes etc.

I am not sure what they look like....so this may be entirely to basic of an answer but have you tried calling an Airstream dealership since it is only a 99. I bought mine from vintagetrailersupply.com this one is used from 1969-???. But mine is a 79.

Found where Federal-Mogul sold Signal-Stat to Truck-Lite back in 2002 as part of a bankruptcy settlement according to AllBusiness.

A search of Truck-Lite's website reveals the 435W. Note the first bullet point:
"Original equipment on Airstream"
There is even a small Signal-Stat logo above the bullet list.

Their photo sure looks like the one for sale at Vintage Trailer Supply.

There's this one that's almost always for sale on Ebay. Airstream has them - they were on display in the lobby store a couple weeks ago. Interesting they also just sell the chrome light cover housing only.

Thanks, maybe I'll start with Vintage Trailer and if they don't have the one I need I will call a dealer. I saw the one on ebay, looks cool thanks.

I had to replace the same brkt/light on our 78 Ambassador...

Before installing it, I picked up a 4-LED flood light fixture and mounted it inside after removing the original bulb socket (these can get corroded over time and short out)...

I held the LEDs in place with some silicone sealant - when dry, I poured some epoxy inside to make it one solid mass - no corrosion will ever get inside this assembly...

Reconnected the two 12 volt wires and mounted the bracket - good to go for longer than the AS will last!
