Monarch LED Conversion

Hello All.

I have searched the forums, and looked at most of the sources recommend, but can’t seem to locate a LED upgrade/replacement for my Monarch square tail/back-up lights. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Dimmer, was your 3rd brakelight standard issue, or did you add it on?

There are 2 options for those type taillights without any major rework. A 90 degree 1157 with 30 leds and a pcb with 24 or 36 leds on an 1156 base. I bought mine from superbrightleds.com. The pcb mounted leds (I went with the 36-led wide-angle option) are intended for internal boat/rv use. I'll post pics and a review when installed, this week I hope. The pcb unit will be tried on my back-up (1156) lights just for kicks, if it works I'll buy some more, otherwise it'll go in the bath-room where the 4 incandescent bulbs can dry your hair if there was a blower attached!!! BTW: Buy the red leds if they are going behind a red lens, that way 100% of the light will be visible or else if you go white only the 'red' portion of that light will actually get beyond the red 'filter'/lens!

You like that don't you!!!!! It had to be oem, do to the rivets on the sides. It also works as a turn signal. But its the only one I have ever seen. But they have a replacement part in the parts department at the Mother Ship JC. DIMMER

My Monarch LED 'conversion' was much easier than the one linked in the post above...take a look here:

http://www.airforums.com/forums/f173...0-s-42187.html

Go to a Trucker's supply that has LED stuff and check out their lights...you'll probably find something real close like I did.

DIMMER,

Mine do look like yours. Why new bezels? Are there no direct replacement LED parts available?
