Louvered Porch light cover

Some time ago while researching melted porch light lens, someone posted a pic of their cover. It looked like stainless steel and was louvered so that the light would be directed down.

Does anyone know any more about this item?

Sounds like the ordinary light that is mounted over the top of the entrance door.

We have them.

yes it's the round scare or porch light cover I'm looking for.

Thanks for the replies, I'll check out Home Depot for the aluminum eaves vent, that might do the trick.

The one picture I saw was very similar to the pic in the attachment, that's why I thought it was a commercially available item.

This may be the one you are referring to. I had posted it about a year ago. SuEllyn made this from an eve vent that she got from Home Depot for about $1.00. She trimmed it with heavy duty shears and used the ring bezel screws to mount it. This has been on Lucy for two years and still looks good and works very well.
