Lost rh and rh brake tail light. 23fb

I can't get dealer to look at till Oct 12.
Lights worked since March went out on the first day of 2 week trip Aug 18th.
So I am trying to fix myself.
It is definitely the trailer.
Has any one done this?
1. 7 way plug wire goes to 12 volt distribution panel. Manual says front of trailer. Under bed? But is it not below fridge in middle of trailer.
2. Looking for all connectors
One being the distribution panel the other the tail light. Any others?
3. Removing tail light. I guess the whole light assembly. All other lights on this rh tail light assembly work.

Thanks if you can help.

Have not had total loss of tail light. Have had LEDs die, so they can be problematic. Dealer replaced under warranty.

Dist panel is mid coach on street side as you suggest.

I'd likely check the tail light unit to see if it is getting power when brake is applied.

Several options - install new tail light - rig a separate brake light until dealer can address - contact Jackson Center for alternate warranty repair resource.

Also, post in the 23FB & D threads. May be someone viewing there who has some knowledge. Certainly report what you find there. This thread may pull in someone with similar problem on another coach configuration.

Good luck. Pat

Lost rh and rh brake tail light. 23fb

I looked everywhere and cannot find out where the rear lights split to the rear Rh and Lh duel tail lights.
Plus the two lights on Rh or Lh have separate wires going to each lense. Would have to splice to replace.

Hi

Best guess: The brake light "daisy chains" between the fixtures. I'd bet there is a LH / RH split but the rest is chained. At least on my trailer, there is a side light that comes on with braking. That would be the point I'd look at ahead of the tail light.

Does the light fixture work if you test it off of the coach?

Lost rh and rh brake tail light. 23fb

For info. To get this lens off wiggle and pull it will come off eventually.
On the 2017 Flying Cloud 23fb the side rear red light is not a brake light and does not give access to tail light wiring.

Disregard this post IF you already cleaned the 7-way plug. If not, buy a clean kit, get any debris/rust out of the contacts. Then, apply Dielectric grease to the ends. Almost every time I have TT taillight problems, it's that darn 7-way plug eroding a little bit.

tail lights

Before you cut the wires, pull out the excess wire as far as you can. When I replaced my defective tail light, there ended up being connectors at the end of 2-3 ft of wire. No need to have 2 splices. just an fyi. Mike

It is true that rear lights are plug connectors as pictured. I could get one set out but the other had no give.

So my update.
Power from TV plug to trailer cable to junction box under bed all good. Lh blinker, brake light and all running lights work at rear tail lights. No power on brown wire out of trailer (rh blinker and brake) at rear light plug. Lights are good.
So still looking for junction were wires split off.
