Lights under bed and under couch

Hi. I have been searching far and wide and haven't been able to find out what it is I'm looking for. Im in the middle of taking out the rear bed and the front couch in my 1986 Limited 32' and I seemed to have lighting wired in weird places. not too sure what its there for especially because where the lights are, they would be pointless. not visible until you start ripping things out. and I was hoping some of you would be able to tell me what it is and why they are there. I have attached some pictures. hopefully its normal and theres some reasonable explanation as to why they are there also, in one of the pictures theres a random empty box that was completely sealed off. but nothing inside. the interior is laminated and it has one small window on one side. doesn't seem to have outside access either. That is NOT factory!! I am guessing that they were installed to provide a small amount of heat in freezing weather. Only the previous owner knows for sure. It does look like the original power converter has been replaced, which is good. If it was my rig the lights would go, as well as the box. have fun with renovation!!
