lightbulbs for '64 overlander

hey. i'm new to all this, so bear with me. it seems that all of the interior lights in my airstream use the same little utility-sized bulb. most of them work but i do need some replacements. are these easily found or something i have to look in the classifieds for? also, the round exterior light near the door seems to need something a bit different. any idea what i should be looking for?
i love my new old airstream!
thanks,
surfscoter

My 1964 overlander takes all automotive style bulbs. i think they are 1146??? Anyway, they can be bought at any parts store or walmart. They are 12volt and put out pretty good light for the use.

As I have learned not all trailers from the same year are the same, and Previous Owners can make changes that leave you scratching your head. Hope this helps.

The bulbs should be # 1141 or 1141F (frosted).

These are easy to find, but I came across them in an auto parts store once and they had them from two different mfgrs with one charging three times as much. Check before you pay.

Originally I believe:

1141F (frosted) is a little tough to find - Inland RV carries them - these people also:

The flood light bulb (1156) may melt your lens if left on for long periods of time. You can use 1141 instead.

Some of the expensive ones at auto store are meant for heavy duty use. (taxi, company car, emergency vehicles) They just have a thicker filament in the bulb. If you run over a lot of rough roads or have unbalanced running gear (see Andy), these are for you. These are also more forgiving if you have an older battery charger that will ocasionally put out over 13 volts. Kinda like the rough service lightbulb at NAPA for a lead light.
