Question Light switches on the inside door

Can anyone shed some light on the two light switches that are located just to the right as you go into the camper? We have a 1973 Land Yacht. We figured out the one, which is the step light, but I'll be if I can't figure out what the other one is. Also, there is a lighted switch in the bathroom beside teh closet that we can't figure out wither.

On my 1986, the switch in question does operate the step light and the other switch operates the outside light to the right side and forward of the entry door. Could the other switch be the AC shutoff. My AC shutoff switch is in the cabinet above the sink. Best of success.

On our 1969, the switch by the door on your right as you go in operates the ceiling light close to the kitchen. The other switch behind the curtains is the porch light.

Its for the galley light...the light over the sink. Its not a "3-way", though. kind of odd. it supplies the power to that light...which then has its own switch. Both switches have to be in the "on" position for the galley light to illuminate.

I don't know about the bathroom one that you mentioned. don't have that on my trailer. Might be a retro-fit from a PO.

My 73 tradewind does not the lighted switch in the bath. Must be after market! The post about the other switches are right on. Galley and overdoor light.

I have seen 2 uses for a lighted switch in the bathroom...one was to turn the Univolt on and off, the other for an electric element option on the water heater.

I miss the switch by the door that supplies power to the galley light. The galley light must be switched on for it to work though. My '77 had it but my '86 doesn't. As noted, the other switch is for the entrance door. Further forward you should find another switch that turns on the round "scare" light on the outside of the trailer.

They must have changed things a little because the switch in my 75 is a 3 way for the light over the sink. Great feature, use it often.

Golly, thanks so much everyone. We tried some of these suggestions out last night and sure enough that one switch next to the door operates the galley light. Wheeeew, another mystery solved. We also found out last night that the AM/FM 8 track tape player works too!!! Hubby doesn't want to get rid of it, so it will stay.

Now on to others.......can the indoor/outdoor temperature gage and clock in the control panel be replaced?

And has anyone ever put a small microwave in one of the overhead cabinets?

Can't help with the microwave question oter than it may be a weight issues if the cabinet is not reinforced. My clock and temperture gage did not work on my 73. I was able to get the clock working by taking a stiff wire brush to the clock battery tray and then cleaning it with electrical spray and installing a fresh battery. The braded cord to the temperature gage was severed in two and as of yet have not spilced it back together to see if that fixes the problem. If not I'll be looking for a replacement also.

The lighted switch in the bathroom fires up the water heater. If it is gas only you should hear the flame when it lights.

OK, just found yet another switch.......This one is directly beside the toliet and it's just a little metal switch. The other one is beside the closet door in the bath room. That's the one that glows.

The switch next to the toilet is most likely for a vent fan mounted on the wall. Sometimes called the "fart fan".

I placed a small microwave in our old Magic Chef oven. The oven did not work and no parts were available. I think we have used the micro more than any oven.

The one by the closet may be a switch for the onboard water pump. Does the closet have a false bottom to the floor for access to the pump?
