I recently had the light go bad on our fridge but not sure if we have the same make and model. the light on our fridge turns on when opening the door and it is located on the left side of the refrig when looking in. It is covered by a white plastic cover. The cover easily prys off. The light can be bought at an auto shop. Hope this helps.

The light in the switch for the frig fan in our Bambi kept burning out. We replaced the switch 3 times, and it still happened. So we have not replaced it again...the switch (and fan) themselves still work for us. Hope this helps.

So the newer model fridges come with a built in fan somewhere around the cooling fins in the back? I've seen an after market version of that here on the forums somewhere in a thread....

If somebody has a picture of that setup, I'd sure like to see it. Maybe I can buy one from Dometic??

Thanks gang.

bottom line. switch lite is out and switch does not turn on fan. all wires underneath switch are tight. so bad switch only or both fan and switch. to be continued.

I am no electrician however is it possible that if the light is bad it breaks the electrical connection to the fan and the switch. I would use a volt meter to see if there is electricity before I would invest in new switch or fan. I am sure others can explain this better then me

I can't tell you how many times over the years I have assumed a fuse was good because it looked good. Test it some kind of way. If you don't have a test light or meter, move the fuse to a " Known good " curcuit of the same value, and see if the items on the circuit work. Both the light and fan not working seems odd.
