Light covers fall off in bathroom in 2007 safari

does anyone have a solution to light covers falling off in bathroom of 2007 safari 28' ? I have tried adjusting screws and trying anything to keep those darn covers from falling down on my head-help?

Mine were falling off too until I discovered I was not installing them right. Have stayed put now for some 5,000 miles. Try installing them to ensure all three of the plastic "ears" are securely in the frame. Put in the end ear first, them squeeze the lens slightly to fit the side ears in place. Wiggle it around to be sure all ears are in place.

Our last trailer was a 2007, ours fell off every time the trailer was moved, we finally got tired of it, and installed new light fixtures. The flexible soft plastic in the original ones just couldn't stay up there, so we found some ones with hard plastic lenses that didn't flex, and never had another problem. Found them at Camping world.

You mentioned the bathroom fixtures as the problem. It may be these are mounted on the curvature of the ceiling and screwed in too tight, warping the frames a bit. Most of the others are under cabinets, where it is flat. It was the bath fixtures in mine too that were falling.

The other thing I did was to loosen the weight distribution bars at the end supports by dropping them a notch. The dealer installation was too rigid, shaking the heck out of the trailer and me.

You can get a tube of clear Parrbond, and put a dab on each of the three edges where the clips are. Put the cover in place, and let it sit overnight. It should be good for several years, and you can still remove the covers for bulb replacement.

I believe you have the same lights as our 2007 27FB and we had the same problem. While at JC I purchased new lights for the bathroom and over the dinette and sink for about $7 each. I was told they are the same ones now put in the newer AS's and they work perfectly and look better too.

It the only time you're allowed to use silicone sealant on an AS - a little dab will glue them in place.

dkottum (post #5) is absolutely right.....they used these el-cheapo light fixtures in those '07's, and they couldn't handle being mounted on a slightly curved surface (lenses fell out); I got rid of mine, too.....glad to see they soon disappeared.

My 2008 Safari SE has the same light fixtures that some people are having trouble with the lenses falling out. dkottum's #2 post is right on about the importance of getting the “ears” properly seated in the slots in the frame. My lenses have two “ears” on the front rounded surface. I insert them in the slots at the end of the light fixture first and then gently squeeze the sides of the lenses and install the remaining two “ears” in their slots.
I too had problems with these lenses falling out after replacing the incandescent bulbs with LED's. Since figuring out what I was doing wrong reinstalling the lenses I have not had a single lenses fall out including the ones in the bathroom ceiling.

Does anyone have a link to a good replacement fixture. I don't have an issue getting the lens back snuggly, just a problem getting it to work. The spring on one side appears to be sprung and will not set back into the socket, bulb on the other side appears to be good, but wont light.

Am debating taking it down and repairing it, but thinking if there is another nicer fixture out there, I may just replace it.

Planning to buy some LED bulbs for it, but will hold off until I can see if there is a good alternative.
