Lenses keep falling out ! %$$##@##!@!
The lenses in the ceiling lights of our 2007 Bambi keep falling out. I find one or the other on the floor after virtually every trip. Does anyone have a solution to keeping the dang lenses in place? These are the rounded-on-one-side, rectangular in pairs, kind of new ceiling lights. They just don't snap in a fit tight. I'm about ready to look into replacing all the lights!

Would a couple of dabs of clear silicone help? It wouldn't show and it would still be possible to take out the lense if necessary.

This may be WAY off base, but are you sure the tires and wheels are ballanced?

Welcome to the world of Airstream Quality Control. I had the same problem in the bathroom of mine. When the lights were mounted to the ceiling they were tightened up so much that it warped the frames and the lenses would not stay in. Twice in the middle of the night when I was asleep I had lenses fall out into the sink - that will get your attention in a hurry. Anyway one time when I was at Jackson Center I had them replaced under warranty. Occasionally I'll find one of the lenses loose now but haven't had one actually fall out since the replacement. I tried loosening the screws holding mine up and that didn't work for me but you might give it a try.

Had the same issue. Dealer replaced and all is good with the world. Major problem was in the bathroom.

I agree that it has to do with mounting the lights on a curved surface, as they are in the bathroom. But silicone did the trick. Even after I took off a lens to change a bulb, the residual silicone keeps the lens on even though it is no longer glued in place.

Hey Phantom,
Are these the frosted white lenses...if they are, on the newer units, Airstream has started using different lights and lenses, they are clear instead of frosted and they are made a little different and don't seem to fall out. You might look at having them all replaced with the newer type of light...they are fairly inexpensive.
Just a thought,
G

Boy, I had hoped that Airstream wouldn't have used these kinds of lights. Some of our elder guests with SOB here had those kinds, and the lenses would fall out every time they just closed the door. I got up on a ladder to check it out for them. The lip that was supposed to clip the lens in just wouldn't clip any more after the lens had a chance to warp with time and heat. Bad, bad design.
