LED upgrade for 1974 Monarch Backup Lens

I have been seeing an LED upgrade for the Monarch Backup Lens which is the 4.25x4.25 lens. I see where you are suppose to glue the LED pad to the back of the Lens.

Click here to see a KIT for the whole tail light.

It looks to be very bright. My question is, has anyone tried it and it so, how well do they work?
