LED trailer lights.

Hi all; I intend to replace the tail lights on my 1973 26' Argosy with matching size LED's. Can anyone please point me in the right direction as to where I can get them? Thanks in advance. "Boatdoc"

Boatdoc: Your 73 shuld have the long rectangular tail lights, if so then take a look at Champion Trailer, they have some sealed LED Tail Lights that might work. I also saw some LED boat lights at Harbor Freight the other day that might work.
I had to remove the plastic housing on my 73 Argosy, as it was startig to break up. I installed Grote Versalight Double Pod Surface Mount Units. Grote Industries: RV, Marine, and Utility Trailer Lighting I posted a picture somewhere on this site. I had a problem with the large rectangular cutouts that the factory made in the skin. I fabricated cover plates, and rivited them on and then installed the light assemblies.
I plan to convert the Grote lights to LEDs in the future. There are posts on this site of how this has been done.
Just my thoughts, Sam Halderman

If you can not find a suitable replacement at a truck stop, almost all truck stops now have LED displays with a good selection, consider this. If you attempt to relight your current lights with LED replacement bulbs you will not get good results. Light lens are designed to be used with a given source to focus the light towards a given point.

Take a look at this posting for ideas.http://www.airforums.com/forum...23544-4.html??

I modified my lights as shown on that post as seen at #40, #49, and #51
