LED tape light

I just picked up a couple of these off ebay, thinking they'd be cool somewhere...

Unfortunately, this particular set isn't waterproof, so underneath the awning probably isn't a good idea... unless somebody's got a good idea on how I might make 'em weatherproof...

They're 6m long, and give off an amazing amount of light

We've been gradually illuminating our interior with these. I'll post pictures later today. In the older trailers, there is a gap between the top of the overhead cabinets and the ceiling at the cabinet front. We stuck the strips along there and added a switch to the side of the cabinet. It lights up the ceiling for a nice, indirect illumination at a fraction of the wattage of the original incandescent lights.

Do be careful to check specs. The strips go from a low end of about $15 to more than $100 depending upon the LED's they use, weatherproofing, and other factors. Color is also something to note (the most common being warm white and cool white)

Also note that you can get housings for these strips. Superbrightleds.com has them for about $10 per foot.
