Bought some LED tailights and they have 3 wires each. Black, red and white. I'm figuring the white is neutral, which is the turn signal ? or does it matter. Place that I bought them from is out of business. Hope they work!

White is ground. I think the black would be tail and red would be brake/turn. If it's the opposite, you'll know right away when the running lights are brighter than the turn signals. Simply reverse the red and black if that happens.

LED lights are polarity sensitive. I would contact the manufacture and ask for the wiring diagram.

Just wiring them and testing may not work as some configurations will not result in the lights come on at all. The "D" stands for "Diode" and diodes only pass electricity in one direction.

I don't know the manufacturer and do not see it anywhere on the light.

Are these complete fixtures or just bulb assemblies?

Can you post a picture. If so at least the back showing the wires.

Where did you buy them? Might they have some information?

Sr. Hoot,

I held the leads to a car battery and found that one is the brake/turn, one is the running light, and the last one is the ground. You wont mess it up by testing it. I can tell you which is which later tonight when I get home, but it wont be till 9pm or so.

I want to say red is the brake/turn, white is the running light, and black is ground.

Silver hoot the ones I got from Inland RV have the same three wires. They are made by Signalstat. The white is ground, the red is running lights and the black is stop and turn signals.

They are complete sealed assemblies with the three wires exiting the rear. Doubt that a pic would help much but I'll snap one when it gets light out.

Silverhoot you can easily see visually which is brakes and which is running lights. Brakes and turn signals is very much brighter than running lights. BTW wear sunglasses if holding them close they are really bright. I could see clearly around my shop in the dark with just the clearance lights on.
