Interior bedroom light diffusers 1960 Overlander

I need to find some diffusers either new or used for my interior bedroom lights. These lights hang on the wall over the bed. I have looked and looked. I found a company that can make them but I have to order 1000. I only need three or four.

I could not figure out the classifieds so I posted it here.

We were missing that same diffuser in our '62 Ambassador. It looks the same anyway, does the fixture have two Chrome side pieces that connect on the ends? We used a long threaded rod to go between the chrome ends and a piece of plastic coreplast material ( very similar to the corrugated plastic material that the US Postal Service uses for their Mail Totes) Coreplast is a more robust material. We formed it to the shape of the light diffuser and bolted everything together. It was an easy fix and looks great. The cost was very inexpnsive as well.

That material is available at any art store or possibly Michaels or JoAnns.

LHall:

The material is called CorePlast? This sounds like an easy solution. I will check this out.

Thanks a whole bunch

Brian, the material is called Coroplast, I mispelled in my earlier post. It is a product used in sign making. Basically a Corrugated Plastic, constructed the same way as cardboard. It is not a perfect replacement, but works well and looks nice. It comes in a variety of color. We are using a Clear color. I know that it can be purchased at an art supply store, some Home Depot's carry it and I believe Michaels.
