Exterior lighting review questions

I backed my truck up to the 72 sovereign last night to get a handle on my exterior lighting... Good news, quite a few of them came on ... To be exact one came on in front both sides and rear. These are all heavily sun damaged, a local truck stop has the marker lights but oddly they do not come with any rubber.

I did have one question though... If I am getting power to at least one marker light in the rear, does it seem safe to assume I will have power in my tail lights.... I think they are all just burned out but did not know if they were connected to the maker light circuit

One more thing... Since the marker clearance lights I found do not have a gasket.... What would you use to seal the hole where the wire comes out of the trailer... Seems like at least some water will get in there

Don't ASSUME your trailer is over 40 years old, could be a broken wire or corroded connection.

The tail lights and running lights are the same circuit.

Break lights/turn signals are 2 separate circuits.

I don't think your lights are burned out, from my experience most exterior trailer lights stop working due to corrosion, not burning out.
