Exterior Light Problem

My 2000 25' SS has developed a lighting problem. As of May everything was fine. However when I hooked her up last weekend and did the light test, to my dismay the left (driver) side blinkers and back up light did not work. The 2 reds came on when the headlights were turned on. I checked the bulbs and replaced the 7 wire plug but the problem persists. Any ideas? My latest theory is that there may be a problem with the bulbs. The right side works fine.

try running a wire, test light or volt meter, to test the ground on that socket.

Thanks for the response. I don't claim much electricity knowledge but am willing to work at it.

I did get over to the trailer last night and set the TV emergency blinkers on. The trailer rear continued to show the problem, right blinks, left dark. One by one I switched the bulbs from the right side to the left, to make sure that all the bulbs were ok. No change in results.

Attempting to follow richinny's suggestion, I put my 12v test light on each of the two housing's white ground on the back and then probed the contacts. No test light. I did make sure to test only one bulb at a time as I read that they are wired in series.

My best guess is that the red (left blinker) wire must be bad. Any other thoughts or suggestions?

ok, now test the hot wire at the bulb to a ground on the trailer to verify the ground is bad or good.

you can do this on the good side first to verify that you found a good test ground.

I ran a wire from the right side working blinker to the left side non working blinker and it didn't work. The left side lights work when the TV headlights are on so I don't think it is a ground issue. The left side lights do not work when the brakes are on nor when the left blinker is turned on.

It maybe a trip to the repair shop.

it's time to start from the beginning.
go to the tv and use a test light to verify the output from the tv.
next, one at a time, run a hot wire to test each of the 'hot' bulb feeds and verify what comes on in back to verify the 7-way is wired correctly.
just for fun, with the 7-way disconnedcted, verify that both the front and rear tv lights are working correctly on both parking light only mode and signal mode.
