Dead short

I have an electrical issue. My bathroom light, one bedroom reading light, and rear ceiling light do not work. If I place a fuse it shorts, so I must have a dead short? What do I do and how do I find it?

In a 1972 Tradewind, I would start with a careful disassembly and inspection of each light fixture.
You are looking for damaged wires coming through the skin and electrically compromised fixtures.
As you remove each fixture, put a wire nut on each wire.
Once all fixtures have been removed, replace the fuse.
If it does not fail reconnect each fixture one at a time until one of them blows the fuse.
If the fuse fails with all the fixtures removed and wire nuts on the wires, check the switches.
