Ceiling lights

AKA Over head bulkhead lights. My 71 has tha usual OEM lighting. It's ok but the lens are long gone. Wouldn't mind swapping for something more elegant. Any suggestions? Tom

If those are not the right ones, check out Out-of-Doors Mart, they have light covers and reasonably priced. I paid a lot more for mine from an online supplier, not on this forum, before I found them. They also sell them on ebay.

Flourescent improvement?

Not sure which fixtures you have, but if they're flourescent and the bluish tint isn't appealing, many lighting specialty shops now carry miniature fourescent tubes in "warm white" tones, that are much more natural looking than standard mini-tubes... Worth considering if you keep fixture with new covers.

Local hardware store also carries extensive line of Chinese-made brushed aluminum low voltage halogen surface lights intended for under-cabinet installation in homes, but could be adapted to Airstreams in 1 or 3 or 5 lampt units by bypassing the 110V to 12V internal power supplies...

My lights are the 7" OEM with the 4 position rotary switch and 4 bulbs. Don't like paying $30 a pop for the OEM look alike lens only. May just replace the whole lamp. Won't be OEM issue.
