Can this be changed for something "prettier"

Just thought I would ask the question.
It was fixed to the wall as per the photo and I would like to house it in something a little more pleasing to the eye.
Ideas anyone?
Should I drill the channel and route it to the back that way?
Could I install an exterior outlet closer to the inverter and make the whole thing a plugin?
Not sure what to do.

It is the external power source cord, plumbed from the bumper storage through the floor and joined inside the box to aanother set of wiring that (I assume) goes to the ac power converter.
Is this not standard then?

Oh.

Then, you should get a 30 amp Marinco inlet and cord and run a new cable directly from that to wherever it's supposed to go, replacing the cable you have now.

If that's too much you can at least get a smaller box. A shallow 4x4 box or octagon would be big enough.
