blue light special

I just put on blue led lights from an auto accessory company; under the trailer, front and back. Helps me find it at night. And looks cool.
Attached are a couple of pictures. There was an attachment for keeping the lights blinking with the music, but the wife said "too much"...

I got mine from here:

https://1000bulbs.com/category/led-rope-light/

I'm actually using incandescent type, 12 volt rope lights - the 12 volt LED's are about 4 times more costly! I may update with the LED types in the future...as it stands now, I only use the 'blue halo' lights when we're plugged into shore power, due to the higher electrical load...

I got them from below.
Now, mine are quite cool, but Mexray beats me out! Nifty. It looks a trailer from TRON.

I stayed away from rope lights or neon lights to keep the battery drain low. I use it in a lot of off-beat campgrounds.

Running the wiring was, as usual, challenging. I have the controller disabled, and just use it as a junction box, with a switch under the TV near the refer. I would like to get a 12 v timer to turn it off at 1100 pm, but don't know where I would get one. Anyone know?

We have yet to get a good picture, But our 12volt rope lights are installed on the lower belt line like Mexray's. They make just enough indirect light see what is going on and not to disturb the neighbors (if they go to bed before us). I have seen Ctdair's and I like them too. We may end up with neons AND rope lights.

We're all giving a new meaning to the 'House of Blues'....

I've also got some of the 12 volt blue LED 'tubes' that I wanted to mount underneath, but just haven't gotten around to crawling under to mount the brackets, etc...

I've also got a couple of 10ft sections of Lexan 1 inch tubing that the rope light fits into, that I envision to be able to fit into the flag pole holder, for a more 'vertical' visual effect...the Lexan tubing is a bit on the 'bendy' side, and mating the two sections together is a challenge - my latest plan is to insert a 6ft piece of 1/4 inch SS rod inside the tubing at the joint to make it more rigid...we'll see..

My better 1/2 says I spent way too much time fiddling with things...Since my name's not 'Nero', I guess its OK...

Lovin the blue lights...reminds me of that old song "House of Blue Lights" covered by Asleep At The Wheel (don't let that happen to YOU, Airstreamer!), Geo.Thorogood, and others,,,who did the original??

Chorus

F
There's fryers, broilers, and Detroit bar-b-que ribs
Bb
But the treat of the treat
F
Is when they serve up those fine egg beats
C7
You'll wanna spend the rest of your brights
F
Down at the house the house the house of blue lights

And here I thought I was new under the sun.

I was worried my small light set might be too overwhelming, but I see I was wrong. Now I need another set, and a TRON rope light.

It never ends.... For that matter, I need glow lights in the flamingos.

And bumper lights... And skylight beacons.. And fluorescent pin stripes!

And little lighted Airstreams on the awning.

Do the blue lights attract bugs? I'm thinking of those electric thingies that would electrocute/zap the bugs when they flew to the blue light...
