Battery Powered LEDs

Our local KMart is closing and they're having a good sale. Last night I picked up some random battery powered LEDs - all from LiteRite. I got three sets (6 total) of drawer lights - 2 LEDs per piece, a bar that has (4) rotating heads - 3 LEDs per head, and a bar that pivots - 6 LEDs.
I had to test them out in the bedroom and was pleasantly surprised at the amount of light they put out. I plan to use the drawer lights in the bathroom, bedroom and kitchen closets. I don't know what I'll do with the light bars - but I find something!!!

Anyone else use battery operated LEDs?

Laura

We replaced all the lighting in our AS with LED's, however we wired them into the 12V system. The reduction in your power use will have a significant impact on your battery life, but you won't have to replace the batteries in the individual lights. They are however probably more expensive than what you paid for battery powered lights on sale.

Yes! I have several. The inside of the Bambi is cloth lined and Velcro sticks to it, so I can mount the lights anywhere.

The last time I was in a KMart I saw some nice looking 12 volt LED surface mount lights in the boating section.

My favorite battery powered light (it comes in stainless, and is activated by motion, and shuts itself off after an hour) is this :

Sylvania DOT-it LED Golden Dragon Under Cabinet Light, Silver - 72407 - Smarthome

We have one of those above our kitched in the '77. The nice part is the tilting feature, it can spin around and light up the interior of the pantry.
