Stopped by the nearest AS dealer a couple weeks ago to check out interiors of the new units. Trying to get some ideas for the inside of our '48. They had a Base Camp there. The dealer showed it to us. Personally, it's not something I would be interested in but I really liked the round LED tailights with the chrome eyebrows. Anyone know where I might get a pair?
I also admired the taillights on the basecamp. This one was at the Florida State Rally. There is no name on the light bezel.
Also this one has AC, a window unit mounted in the front wall. The neat thing was that the propane bollte cover had been adapted to cover the AC. Under the cover was a small propane botle in the horizontal position and the AC was under the gas bottle. I took pixs of both to save for ideas in restoration of vintage units.
Hopefully those won't corrode like the cast alum units.....

Actually, the ones on the base camp are plastic. You can get a pair by going to said dealer after dark and they are closed using a #2 phillips screwdriver.

Now Now - that is bad advice - you forgot to mention the rubber gloves so you don't leave finger prints......
All cool and such, but even if I were to "borrow" a set or buy a set, neither would help me with my case alum lights...you know, the one with the two rectangular looking ovals. Though the lens and trim on both kinds are plastic, the base on the cast alum tail lights is alum and it's prone to corrode!
I'm on my second set!

Thanks 3Ms75Argosy for the link. I know I've seen them on big rigs but searched all over and couldn't find them. They should look good on the back of our '48 after it's all polished up. Bob
