Availability of these outlet holders

In the middle of my Safari renovation project, I misplaced the metal holder for an outlet. Is this something I can find easily?

You can get a new RV/mobile home type outlet (which uses no box behind it) at most larger RV parts places.

I think I need the holder/cage

I believe that I need the holder/cage in order to hold the outlet in place for the exterior outlet. Does this make sense?

The type idroba mentioned have an integrated face plate that have diagonal mounting holes that appear to match the drilled holes seen in the pic of your housing.

Does anyone know where to get the outlets shown in Silver Goose's picture?

Thanks!

go to any rv dealer, they usually have a catalog they give out of all types of plumbing, electrical, furniture etc. or look up Camping World on line.

It is a very common outlet used in RV's and some older mobile homes. It uses no box on the back, and the wires are simply pressed into slots on the rear, and a cover snapped on. Then the outlet is held into the wall with little flipper wings.

Most any RV parts place should have a few around.

outlet

This is a common outlet used in mobile homes interior but not outside or in wet areas. You still need a box, screw in outlet and weather proof lid for exterior outlets. It would also be a good idea to use a GFCI outlet if that circuit is not on one already. Any electrical supply store should be able to fix you up.

Hi Surfpod,
I was just trying to find the exact same outlet as you. Just curious if you solved your problem and if so, what you did?
Thanks,
Tim

Location of outlet holder

Hi Tim,
I have not acquired one, yet. I had one but thought it was a little expensive. I'm close to just making one. We'll see. I know they are out there. I just need to focus on looking for one. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. I went ahead and installed a sealed box like I saw in the Little Girl Refurb thread. I took some pictures in my thread. http://www.airforums.com/forums/f379...-74611-22.html
