Anyone want to trade halogens for led's?

I have a 2010 international. I love my halogens inside the living area, but inside the upper storage bins, 6 lights total, I'd like to install the LEDs. I would like to leave them on for ambiance but here in Texas it just too hot for halogens in an enclosed space.

So my proposal is swap me out 6 of my halogens for your LEDs.

If interested pm me or here is my email.

Sounds like a win win to me.

Shane

You want to trade $2.50 halogens for $16 LED's? I saved a couple, but just tossed a bunch of them after switching to LED.

You can get some cheapo G4 LED replacement bulbs from China on ebay for about $3 ea. If they're inside a cabinet how good do they have to be?

No not kidding in the least bit!!

If you have a problem with it please do not respond to the post.

I have read several times people who have led want halogen.

Sometimes to some people ,....it's never about the dollar!

To be honest I never priced either.

I have run into a few people who wanted to put halogens in their 2011 and 2012 units because of the bright white LEDs hurt their eyes. For anyone who reads this thread and is thinking about doing so I would suggest making sure the unit can handle it. LEDs use so much less power that it could offer a savings to use smaller wire and/or put more lights per circuit. I'm not sure how Airstream designed those units but I would do the home work before went that route. Just a safety note here.

Shane, we replaced our halogens in the upper cabinets only since they got so hot up there and they provide enough light for the interior at night. We rarely use the main lights but when we do we prefer the halogens. Hold on to the extras just incase you don't like the LEDs in the main cabin. Any other cool upgrades?

People in the colders climes might prefer halogens for the extra heat they put out. I have reg bulbs that came with my Sport. I turn them all on with the heater when trying to warm up a cold trailer faster. But I will probably put in some LEDs this summer.
