'98 Excella light switch question

On our '98 Excella, just inside the door are switches for lights. 1st is the step light, second is the lounge overhead light in the fan, and the third is labeled "ceiling", but does nothing. I would assume it would turn on the galley cieling lights. Has anyone have any sugustions on what the third switch is susposed to do and repair? see attached photos, front and back of switch plate

I have the exact same rig. Mine only has the two switches that control the features you mentioned. Must have been an added option on your rig, but what it controls...?

I have a '97 and it does in fact turn on the galley light in front of the a/c.

Our '95 30' has the same panel but with a fourth unmarked switch.

The second switch turns on the light over the couch. The third switch turns on the light over the kitchen area. The fourth switch wasn't wired to anything; I suspect it was used for the optional valance lighting that ours doesn't have. (I wired it to turn on our parking lights.)

Break out the multimeter and confirm you have power on both sides of the switch when it's on. If so, head to the light and see what's up there power-wise. If there's no power coming into the light then you probably have an issue with your wiring harness.

The lights in the kitchen area (2) both work with the on/off switches in each...but the switch at the door has no effect. Will have my meter next time out and will check power at the switch and try to chase the wires down.

Oh, I misunderstood. Our overhead lights do not have switches on them; the only control is the one by the door.
