'70s 12V electrical question

Was there typically a 12V outlet on the opposite side from the bed in a center double bed model? I'm putting the Overlander back together and found a white/pink pair running from the ceiling channel down a rib towards the street side bedroom window. There is nothing in that area that is 12V.

This Overlander was originally a twin bed model, so I think this is just a standard wire pair that wasn't used, since only the double bed model had a credenza on the street side and it had a 12V outlet.

This is just a guess. Anyone got their inner skins off and can take a look? This wire pair is not the headboard reading light power--I've found that pair. It does not appear to have any use.

thanks, Zep

12 volt in galley

Don't know about the Overlander ... however, our 1974 Ambassador with center twin beds does have a 12 volt outlet on the street side. Also has 12 volt outlet in the bathroom and in the living room just above the credenza near the refrigerator wall/ac thermostat.

As a side note, our center galley actually only has one twin bed now, the second twin bed space became a stainless steel counter and sink. Kind of hard to sleep on but great place for coffee pots, food prep, and cooking. (smile)

Problem solved. It turns out the 12V pair and a TV twin lead were unused and tucked under the middle of the window, approximately. I assume this is where a TV outlet would have been placed in the double bed model.
